A sagging stomach has always been a major concern among men and women who eat white rice, but are trying to lose weight fast. Unless you live in the gym day and night, a quick weight loss is not possible. What’s with the white rice? Like me, maybe you have been eating white rice since you were a child. I consider white rice as the sticky part of your diet that just won’t go away, or to clearly define it as something that won’t let you go off that easy.

For a high carb food, such as the white rice, it may cause an unhealthy spike in blood sugar, making it unsuitable for the diabetics.
Know that a cup of cooked white rice has about 242 calories, 4 grams of protein and less than 1 gram of fiber. The same amount of cooked brown rice has 218 calories, 5 grams of protein, and 4 grams of fiber. White rice had most of its fiber removed, and a high intake of this refined carb has been closely linked to obesity and chronic diseases.
White rice is a concentrated source of carbohydrates and provides little protein or fat. It is considered as a high glycemic food that tends to raise blood sugar levels soon after eating.
The consumption of white rice has been associated with an increasing risk for belly fat, weight gain, and metabolic syndrome. Eating foods that raise the blood sugar levels soon after eating increases the muscle storage of glucose called glycogen.
This is one reason it has been very difficult for me to lose weight fast. Because, if you eat a bowl of white rice and you are sitting at the computer throughout the day, your muscles aren’t deprived of glucose.
Most likely, the glucose will enter muscle cells for storage and also, stored as fat. Your weight loss plan should balance high carb intake that promotes a storage of glucose and fat storage, with exercise. Eating a diet high in refined carbohydrates promotes the release of insulin as well as promote fat storage.
You have to eliminate eating white rice when you live a sedentary lifestyle, and go for more fruits and vegetables. A review of your weight loss program should start with the high carb foods you have been feeding your body!
